About

Welcome to the Judge Craig McCarthy Victim Project. Our mission is to shed light on the neglect by Judge Craig McCarthy, which has resulted in innocent children becoming victims. We aim to provide a platform for other victims to come forward and share their stories, with the ultimate goal of bringing justice to our children.

Our Story

The Judge Craig McCarthy Victim Project was founded by Robbie Shawn, who has been fighting for custody of his daughter, Lizabelle, for eight years. Despite the challenges of navigating a broken judicial system, Robbie remained positive and persistent. In 2019, he was awarded primary guardianship of Lizabelle after a lengthy trial.

However, the struggle did not end there. Lizabelle’s mother, diagnosed with bipolar disorder, resorted to extreme measures, including kidnapping Lizabelle, shaving her head, and hiding for ten months. In December 2023, Judge McCarthy ordered Lizabelle’s return to Robbie but then mandated her return to her mother for winter break, despite the previous kidnapping incident.

Currently, Lizabelle’s mother resides in Orlando with her uncle, who has sexually abused Lizabelle. Robbie’s attempts to set hearings for motions, including a request for a guardian ad litem and a petition for relocation, have been ignored by Judge McCarthy and his assistant. This neglect has led to another kidnapping incident, with the mother refusing to return Lizabelle as per the original court order and parenting plan.

Judge McCarthy’s orders have placed Lizabelle in a dangerous environment, and Robbie’s concerns about her safety have been consistently ignored. Despite a court order and parenting plan, law enforcement and DCF have not provided assistance. Lizabelle has attended six different schools in the past two years due to her mother’s repeated kidnappings and relocations.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to exposing the failures of the judicial system and advocating for the safety and well-being of children like Lizabelle. We believe that by sharing our stories and raising awareness, we can bring about change and ensure that no other child has to endure what Lizabelle has gone through.
